Transform Your Smile with Custom Veneers
A dental veneer is a porcelain shell that dental professionals can customize to enhance the size, shape, and shade of a tooth. Dental veneers are a commonly offered dental restoration at Advanced Dental Care of Hutto.
If you have chipped, discolored, or crooked teeth and want to change them, then dental veneers may be the solution you are looking for. Consisting of a thin porcelain shell, dental veneers can blend in with your surrounding teeth for a uniform appearance. While altering the size, shape, and shade of your teeth, we can also prevent further damage to the surface of the tooth.
Far too often, people will try to avoid seeking professional dental treatment and live with damaged or crooked teeth. By avoiding treatment, people are only increasing the chance of pain or infection. A chipped tooth can risk exposing the inside of the tooth, causing pain when eating, drinking, or biting down on something.
By investing in a dental veneer treatment, we can help you change the size, shape, and shade of your teeth for your specific needs.

The Procedure
When patients visit our Advanced Dental Care of Hutto offices, we will take an impression of their teeth to create the veneers in a lab. The veneers will match the size, shape, and color of your teeth, taking a week or more to create.
In order to place dental veneers, we will first prepare your tooth by removing a portion of the enamel. This helps the veneer lay flat and in line with your gum tissue. After preparing the tooth, we will secure a temporary veneer using removable glue. While wearing a temporary veneer, it is important to brush your teeth gently and avoid eating any foods that may push it out of place. Since it is secured by removable glue, it can be moved fairly easily.
When your permanent veneers are ready, you will come back into our Advanced Dental Care of Hutto offices so that we can remove the temporary and ensure that the new veneer is a perfect fit. It is typically attached using a water-based solution to see how it looks. If any adjustments need to be made, they will be done at this time. Otherwise, the tooth will be cleaned, and the dental veneer will be bonded to the tooth. Patients enjoy how the results look. They are instant, and you can start flashing your smile right away.
